Call To Artists!

EAST VILLAGE ALLEYWAY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

The East Village Association is looking for an artist to design and paint a mural for our Alleyway Beautification Project. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO SHOWCASE YOUR ART TO THE PUBLIC!

Background Information

The East Village Association applied for and received an Alleyway Beautification Grant in early 2011. Since the approval of this grant, improvements have included new drought tolerant and butterfly friendly plants and vines, a granite table(s), general cleanup, and concrete cutouts. In addition, we are looking to add lighting, resurfacing of the ground, and a mural to add to the allure of the East Village.

Location

The wall of the building adjacent to Alta Way/Linden, right in the heart of the East Village, Long Beach between 1st and Broadway.

What we are looking for

We would like your design(s) to convey what the East Village is all about. We want to convey aspects of the East Village that include Art, Music, Fashion, and Dining in this mural. In order to qualify, we are looking for 3 examples of your art work and what you as an artist could convey on this wall adjacent to Alta Way.
